4-axis CNC milling


4-axis CNC milling machines adds a rotational axis based on the 3-axis machine. This additional axis allows workpiece to be rotated while machining. It can produce more precise parts.

What is CNC Milling

CNC milling is an automation manufacturing that cutting the material body to create finished or semi-finished parts. The biggest difference between CNC milling and turning is the workpiece motion state. The workpiece of CNC milling is fixed on the bench and cut by tools. Each axis is responsible for its specific motor direction of plane motion or rotation.

FAQ

What is the difference between CNC milling and turning?
The most difference is that the workpiece is at rest to be cut by tools during the milling process. Workpiece rotates to be cut in round shape or symmetry structure during the turning process.

Is milling better than turning?
It only depends on your part design in what shape and structure.
Is CNC milling expensive?
